Most images represent a rock as an overview. Photographing details or small minerals is a very time consuming occupation and therefore not an issue in this case. We want to keep the specimen as cheap as possible, no?

For more detailed information on mineralogy I refer to the mineralogical database “Mindat” (www.mindat.org) . If one’s interested in seeing more details I’m very pleased to make extra images for valuable specimens.

To keep this website as simple as possible the images are loaded using a script language. The advantage for this is easily maintaining the database and less programming, but the disadvantage is that only one image by record is accessible.
