What minerals do I collect ?

Well, mostly rubbish ! You should see me after a day collecting… A rucksack full of rock. When I’ve sorted it all out at home, only a few small boxes of specimens remain.
I’m neither a ‘world wide’ nor a systematic mineral collector and I don’t collect minerals to sell. I rather give my spares away to people who appreciate them. Sometimes I have the occassion to collect with friends who introduce me in their favourite location. An example is
Wannenköpfe, Ochtendung, Eifel in Germany.

The minerals that stay in my collection are mostly self-collected. I keep them because I like the beauty and because I found them myself. Therefore I’m proud of my collection and I’m proud to show you some of my findings.

Minerals are not meant to put away in dark boxes and never to see the daylight again, but to share their beauty with other people. I try to do this by showing you the photos, by writing articles, CD-Rom’s (see main page) or giving lectures.
